The Asian American Peace Officers of Georgia (AAPOG) is pleased to announce the 2013 AAPOG Community Champions Award Recipients:
(in alphabetical order) - ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICAN HISTORICAL SOCIETY (Ongoing - Documenting AAPOG Officer stories & Community education) - ATLANTA CHINESE CHRISTIAN CHURCH NORTH (Asian Pacific American Family Safety Day) - NAAAP-ATLANTA (Self-Defense Trainings) - RAKSHA (Ongoing - AAPOG's fiscal agent in 2013 & providing officer training on successfully working with South Asian domestic violence victims) - SANDY SPRINGS POLICE DEPARTMENT (Firearms Safety Trainings) - SUNG MING SHU DOJO (Self-Defense Trainings) - WHITE HOUSE INITIATIVE ON ASIAN AMERICANS AND PACIFIC ISLANDERS (WHIAAPI) - YEN JING CHINESE RESTAURANT (1st AAPOG APA Heritage Month Celebration Dinner) We thank AAPOG Community Champions Awards Chair Officer Phong Nguyen and Committee members for their contributions.
